Do I need to stay in hospital after the procedure?
No — you can leave immediately after the procedure. There is no hospital admission required. Most patients return to their hotel and resume normal light activities the same day.
Do I need to return to Istanbul to have the balloon removed?
No. This is one of the key advantages of the Allurion Balloon. After approximately 4 months, the balloon's valve opens naturally, it deflates and passes through your digestive system on its own. You do not need to return to Istanbul for removal.
What happens after I return home?
